Rule 3
Purpose of political party registration
The purpose of registering a political party for election purposes is as follows:-
(a) According to Article 142 of the Constitution and Article 19 of the Act, every political party that wants to be recognized by the Commission for election purposes shall register its party with the Commission,
(b) A political party wishing to participate in the election shall register the party with the Commission for the purpose of the election and publicize the fact that it will participate in the election and obtain the opinion of the people,
(c) Liaison between the Commission and political parties during elections and recognition of political parties to streamline election processes.
